Attracted by a new challenge, Amy Goldsmith joined WK as a trainee advisor last month.
Four weeks in she hasn’t been disappointed; thriving off the new challenges each day brings.
“I’m learning new things every single day. In the beginning I found training overwhelming as I have had no previous experience in the accounting industry, however with the support of co-workers I am wrapping my head around the terminology and the processes of the role.”
“The culture of the workplace [at WK] is very supportive,” Amy says.
Having lived in Marlborough for the past sixteen years, Amy previously worked in administration and customer service and was attracted to WK due to its reputation as a great place to work.
“The role is also something I am interested in and a challenge to grow my career,” she says.
Amy is currently studying towards a Diploma in Business and hopes to further her qualifications in accounting.
Outside of work, Amy loves making the most of the scenery with the many walking tracks on offer throughout the region.
“Marlborough has beautiful scenery in all directions with the Marlborough Sounds and surrounding mountains, lakes and rivers; everything is only a short drive away,” she says.
Amy is looking forward to supporting the wider WK team to help clients with their business goals.
