The competition is open to any farmer in the Marlborough Province (Marlborough and Kaikoura District Council areas) whose Gross Farm Income is mainly from sheep and cattle and the farm operation consists of a minimum of 2,500 stock units.
The aim mirrors those of WK and we are keen to promote the opportunity to farmers who meet the criteria, we see this as being a challenge that will involve testing the boundaries while finding out more about your farm, yourselves, your goals and farming practices, things that we at WK see as vital to a successful farming business.
One of the absolute benefits we see, is that you will have free access to some industry experts who will visit you on farm to assess your performance, they include:
- Greg Sheppard of Sheppard Agriculture
- Lachie Grant from LandVision
- Peter Anderson of StockCare
- Richard Borrell from Westpac Bank
- Chris Dawkins from The Pyramid in the Waihopai Valley
Entries are now open but close on 1 August 2016. To learn more contact us at WK.
