Pat is an extremely qualified Accounting Technician, specialising in not for profit and charitable reporting, aquaculture and small business.

She has also been involved with training staff, taking reward from seeing the people she has trained achieve their goals and attain their qualifications.

Pat’s vast experience comes from more than 30 years in the business, beginning as soon as she left school in 1973. Pat has only ever worked for WK, which was then known as Kerridge and Sutherland, taking a break to have her three children from 1979 until 1987.

Kerridge and Sutherland had the only private commercial computer in Blenheim at the time, a far cry from the 100% cloud-based systems Pat and the WK team now use. She believes Brayshaw Park is now home to one of the adding machines she used at the time.

A sixth-generation Marlburian with strong ties to the Norton whaling families, Pat attended Queen Charlotte College where she was a sprint champion.

Pat likes the easy access to the sea which Marlborough offers, as well as being nearby to most of her siblings, her three grown-up children and eight grandchildren.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cross-stitch, keeping in touch with family and exploring family history.
