Laura is described by her colleagues as a Xero Guru, and for good reason. Her days are spent training clients how to use and get the most out of Xero software for their respective businesses.

Laura is part of the farming team and joined WK in 2013 while the company was still introducing Xero to its client base, making it a perfect time to come on board.

She enjoys the simplicity Xero brings to the world of accounting and business advisory, automating tasks where possible and continuously evolving and improving to make business more efficient.

Xero also offers different solutions to suit the needs of different clients, Laura says.

Due to her passion for Xero, Laura was part of the WK team which travelled to Xerocon in 2017, where they picked up the 100% Cloud Award, a highlight of the conference for Laura.

She also valued the opportunity Xerocon offered to network and gain knowledge on all the apps and information available to help clients, as well as to gain an insight into the future of accounting.

Outside of work, the born and bred Marlburian plays netball for Picton’s Tokomaru Club and for Marlborough and has been awarded many trophies over the years, notably Netballer of the Year for Tokomaru Club in 2016 and Marlborough Netball Most Outstanding mid-courter in 2013 & 2017.

She loves the small town nature of the region and the fact that the hills and sea are all close by.
