When Hamish joined WK in 2002 as a school leaver his role included coding client bank statements and entering them into the Accounting software to produce financial accounts.
He then left for Victoria University of Wellington in 2005 before returning to WK with a Graduate Diploma in Professional Accountancy and a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration majoring in Accounting and Commercial Law.
Upon his return, Hamish has continued to learn and grow his qualifications, adding Chartered Accountant to the list, along with certification in both Xero and Figured.
Hamish specialises in agribusiness, commercial business, and managing winery accounts.
Hamish was born in the region and attended Renwick School before going away to Nelson College, where he landed the titles of Nelson Colleges cross country champ, 1,500m and 800m champ.
Outside work, he loves getting his hands dirty on the family farm and enjoys any sport, but particularly rugby, for which he is a referee in Tasman.
He thinks Marlborough is a great place for his family, partner Stacey and son Ollie, and enjoys the great weather, the outdoors, world-class wineries and the abundance of opportunities on offer.
